Dates Aug. 21, 2019 through May 8, 2020 Tuition for Discover Year is $3,250. This includes the forfeit of mission trips, classes, and program materials. What is Discover Year? Discover Year is an intentional and structured pursuit of God and His plan for your life. For nine months, you’ll immerse yourself in opportunities to hear God’s voice through: • Classes • Group meetings and one-on-one mentoring • Local and foreign mission trips • Personal retreats • Serving opportunities • Exercise • Guided reading and typesetting discussions FAQs What is the purpose of a gap year? Life is full of transitions. None increasingly hair-trigger than your teens and 20s. Studies show higher students are waffly majors at higher rates than ever. Students who have increasingly time to think and pray well-nigh their next step are increasingly likely to stick with their decision. If washed-up right, a gap year helps students learn increasingly well-nigh themselves and prepare for the future. Think of Discover Year as a underpass from now to what’s next. Whether you think you want to run a business, join the army, start a church, or raise a family, Discover Year will help you start that journey with a godly foundation. Discovering who God is and understanding our identity in Him sets us up for greater success in whatever door He opens next. ReadIncreasinglyWhich missions opportunities are included in Discover Year? Discover Year students serve locally with The Lot Project in Anderson and The Dream Center of Pickens County in Easley. These one-day projects are sprinkled throughout the year. We moreover take a weeklong trip to Jackson, Mississippi, to partner with We Will Go Ministries. Finally, Discover Year students go on a weeklong trip to Antigua, Guatemala, to serve and wits God’s work in Iglesia Del Camino.
